Spring Break

Ironically I have to write a paper in one of my classes about something that ruined my entire break, viruses. I was researching viruses and how the infect and attack its host. Viruses unlike many organisms are not alive, they require a host to replicate to reproduce. And the can cause permanent damage to host because they rely on the ability to go through cell division and repair the cells that were infected by the virus. Many people recover from common colds because virus attack the cells lining the lungs which undergo cell division rapidly, however if a virus were to attack white blood cells or spinal nerves, cells that do not regenerate, irreversible damage. I am currently being attacked, but my white bloods cells are actively fighting off the virus and it is almost completely gone. I am going to have a fun time writing this paper not only because I just experienced first hand a viral attack and have taken over a year of courses studying viruses. Now I get to put my knowledge and creativity together.
